Unused antique real photo postcard of the infamous boxing match between the first African-American World Heavy Weight Champion Jack Johnson and Jim Jeffries. Jeffries was billed as the “Great White Hope” to bring the title back to the white race. This fight was called “The Fight of the Century”. Johnson maintained his title. We’re also listing two other cards from the same fight. One is identified “Johnson declared the winner”.

Date: July 4, 1910

Condition: Very good condition with sharp corners. Some fingerprint marks on the lower right and lower left of the card. Please see photos as they are an integral part of the condition report and ask any questions that you have about the item so that we can satisfy you.
